Warehouse and industrial site deliveries: what to expect

Not every delivery is the same. Getting cargo to a warehouse is a different job from delivering to an industrial site, and knowing what each involves helps you plan the receiving end.

Warehouse deliveries

Warehouses are usually set up to receive goods, often with loading bays and handling equipment. The main things to confirm are the delivery window, access for a large vehicle and someone on site to receive the cargo. Palletised and general goods are common here. Industrial site deliveries

Industrial sites can be more varied. Access, ground conditions and offloading arrangements differ from site to site, and heavier or specialised cargo may need particular handling. It's worth flagging any site constraints early so the delivery is planned around them.
